EQUESTRIAN TRAINING
At Snowbird we’re not just Hunters and Jumpers, we want to offer our students the whole experience with horses. In an effort to merge the disciplines where we all speak the same language “HORSE”. Dressage is the basic training of the horse to do under saddle what he brilliantly does when he’s free. If you can’t spend too much time with horses then we want to introduce you to our Equestrian Sport.

We believe that confidence in the horse starts with handling them from the ground. Therefore all lesson time is scheduled for actual instruction. But we would like you to be here a half hour before and for at least a half hour after your scheduled instruction time. There is no charge for this extra time it is our intention to teach you animal care and management at no additional charge.

Dress
All riders are required to wear shoes with sturdy soles and moderate, well defined heels. NO SNEAKERS, SANDALS, OR SHOES WITHOUT HEELS ARE PERMITTED. CERTIFIED ASTM “SEI” HUNT CAPS MUST BE WORN IN ALL LESSONS. THESE HUNT CAPS MUST DISPLAY THE “SEI”SEAL. Riding clothes are recommended. Otherwise dress and hair should be neat and long pants worn. All items available in our Tack Shop at a 10% discount for registered students,

Cancellations

Otherwise one make-up will be allowed if there is notice of EXPECTED ABSENCE 24 hours ahead. No other make-ups are allowed. If you need to cancel and appointment we require a minimum of 24 hours notice except in case of a Medical Emergency.
